How To Add The Print Option To Blogger Posts

Turn any web page into a print friendly page,

You can turn any page into a print friendly page by using the print friendly option.

Disclaimer:
The print friendly service is a free online service that many of us bloggers use to make it easier for our viewers to print of our content. I personally have nothing to do with how it is set up. I do not receive money or credits or anything in return for offering it to you. It is offered freely to the public.

Go here and paste the url address of the pattern you want to print into the bar they have provided for you. It works and it's free! Do NOT click on the ad, see photo below.

What is an URL address?

The url address is found in that bar as pictured highlighted in yellow below. (it's not normally yellow, I colored it so you can see it). An url address normally starts off with https: and can be very long. You have to copy that address and paste it into the Print Friendly.

If on a computer,
Right click inside the address bar and click on "select all" this will  highlight the contents of the  address bar in blue. Then right click inside  the blue highlighted area and click on copy. Go to the print friendly, right click inside the box and click on paste.

If viewing a page from a mobile or ipad please search google for how to find the url address on your device.

On the print friendly page, paste in the url address.. I highlighted the box with yellow below but on the actual page it will be regular white.

Once you paste the url into the print friendly, it should look like this. Click on print OR save as a pdf OR email it.

  2. How to print the pattern? I don't want to install a program to print it. Is there a link to the printable pattern without installing the program you see when clicking "printer friendly"?

    1. ?? I'm not sure where you went to, there's nothing to install. If you click the link I provided you will be brought to the print friendly page, paste in the url address of any page you want to print. www.printfriendly.com

Once you've pasted in the url address a pop up appears and at the top of that pop up, it gives you the option of print, save as a pdf, or email it.

Once you click on print it will tell you it's sending it to your printer. There might be a pop up box that asks you what printer you are using but that's about it.

Take a moment to read what's on the screen, don't click any ads (there might be pdf ads that have nothing to do with the printing) just click the print button..

  3. Hi Sharon. I’ve tried to print several written patterns but I only get the first page that contains your instructions. This happened for the Panda and the Pig.

    1. sorry you're having issues with it. The print friendly is not my service and I have no idea how it works or what to do if it doesn't. It's a free service to the public that many bloggers point their readers to for printing.

I do have copy enabled on my patterns so if all else fails you can try that.

Left click and hold then drag over any area you want to copy, then right click inside the highlighted area and click on "copy".
Right click inside any program you use, like word or notes, and click on "paste".

      I hope that helps!
