Wedding Gifts,
My hope is that these bears make their way to the top of a cake or become gift tags. I would be so honored if they became part of  such a special day! I would love to see pictures if that ever happens. Please post them on my fb page, Amigurumi Freely

Supplies:
small amount of green worsted weight yarn.
small amount of different colors of yarn to make the small flowers. I used purple, pink and baby yellow.
worsted weight yarn in black for the top hat and bow tie
same hook size you used to make the bear with
small amount of crinoline or lace - size is optional. The one pictured, 24" long, 8" wide
3 bobby pins used for attaching the bow tie,  flowers and veil. You could also sew them on instead of using bobby pins
regular sewing thread and needle

Abbreviations:
st = stitch
sc = single crochet
ch1 = chain one
sl st = slip stitch
hdc = half double crochet
BLO = back loops only
FLO = front loop only
2tog = crochet 2 stitches together
f/o = finish off

How to print the pattern,
Use the free print friendly service here

Top Hat: with black
1) magic circle with 6sc (6)
2) 2sc in each st (12)
3) 1sc in 3st then 2sc in next st (15)
4) 1sc in each of the BLO
5-8) 1sc in each st for 4 rows
9) 2sc in each of the FLO (30)
sl st next st and f/o weave in yarn tail - if you want to sew the hat to the head then f/o leaving a long tail for sewing. This hat fits perfectly over the ear with no need for sewing.

Bow Tie: with black
1) ch11
2) starting in the 2nd ch from hook, 1sc in each ch (10) ch1 and turn
3) skip ch, 1sc in each st - work the starting yarn tail into the first 3st then cut it free
4) ch1, fold piece in half then sl st, through and across, the edges of both ends
f/o leaving a long tail.
Position the sewn edges in the center then wrap the yarn tail around the center very tight, knot off and weave in yarn tail.

Push a bobby pin  though a bit of yarn in the back of the bow tie then push the pin into the body.

Bouquet: with green
1) ch8
2) starting in the 2nd ch from hook, 1sc in next 4ch, 1hdc in next 3ch (7) ch2 and turn
3) skip ch, 1hdc in next 3st, 1sc in next 3st, sl st last st
f/o leaving a long tail. Weave in starting yarn tail.

Flowers:
Add in about 5 or 6 French knots with the first color. Fill in the spaces with the 2 other colors.
Lay the yarn tails in both directions, that will take away some of the bulk, trim so they are no longer than the green base.
Add flowers to the area in the circle, leave the bottom free, this part will be the stem.

Fold the edges of the green together, use the finishing green yarn tail and sew the edges together.
Bring the yarn tail through the middle and out at the bottom of the stem, just a little bit away from the bottom as pictured below. Wrap the yarn tail very tightly around the stem then knot off once you get the stem wrapped up to the bottom row of the French knots. Hide yarn tail inside.

Top piece of veil: with cream
1) ch14
2) starting in the 3rd ch from the hook, 1hdc in each ch (12)
f/o leaving a long tail for sewing. Weave in starting yarn tail

Flowers for top piece: with any color you want
Fold in half, make a French knot in the center of the half then 1 French knot on either side.
Knot off yarn tails and  cut then up short.

Set top piece aside.

How to assemble the crinoline:
Bunch up the top part onto half the width of the top piece. Sew to hold that bunched up part.

Assemble top piece and crinoline:
Sew the crinoline to one side of the top piece then fold over the top piece so that the crinoline is now sandwiched between the halves.
Trim the top of the crinoline then sew the top edge of the top piece together, sew the ends together, then sew through the bottom of the top piece. Knot off when done and weave in yarn tail.

Push the bobby pin through the top of the crocheted piece of the veil and use it to attach the veil to the head.

I hope you  enjoyed this pattern!

    1. gee, thanks, I hadn't already tried looking for it before posting a comment. Step 3 doesn't add up for me and I was looking for help understanding. "3) 1sc in 3st then 2sc in next st (15)"

    2. it just means put 1 single crochet into the next 3 stitches and then put 2 single crochets into the 4th stitch. Then do it again, 1 single crochet into the next 3 stitches and then 2 single crochets into the 4th stitch. You should have repeated that sequence a total of 3 times by the time you get to the end of the row.
