Oh what fun to be a bear and a monkey!
Tonight my youngest son and I watched Harry Potter and I did what I do best while watching movies, I crocheted! I wanted to use up more of those plastic eggs. If you missed my latest posts I've been using plastic Easter eggs and yarn together to make really fun amigurumi, the kind of amigurumi you can hide goodies in!
So tonight was round two with the eggs and I ended up with a very playful monkey and a very cute bear. My son named the bear Browning and I named the monkey Rosey. I think those names suit them, don't you?
After I made Rosey I actually planned on making another monkey but the closest yarn to me aside from the pinks was brown, lol and I didn't want to get up so a bear it was! And I am so glad!
Ok, that's it for now. I'll call it a night since it's 2am in my part of Canada. I've had the best evening with my son watching movies and playing with yarn. I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend too! See you soon.
UPDATE: Rosey's pattern is here and Browning's pattern is here

ReplyDeleteLove these! Just wish I'd have seen them a few days ago...
ReplyDeleteI think magnets or Velcro for Rosie will let her give her friends great hugs. They are great as is all your work.
ReplyDeleteI love it!
ReplyDeleteIs a pattern without eggs somewhere ?
Where can we find patterns for you wonderful patterns.
ReplyDeleteAre there patterns for them yet, or am I just not looking in the right place?...Which is very possible for me lol
ReplyDeleteno, not yet. Over the weekend, possibly Monday. I was trying out different glues for them as the eggs kept slipping out of the bodies even when the glue seemed to stick, a day or so later they'd pop out. But I've got it figured out now :)
DeleteThe monkey will be first followed by the bear.
I always announce on facebook the minute patterns are released Amigurumi Freely
Ok thank you for letting me know. I don't have Facebook so I'll just check back here later.
DeleteThank you again!
:)
Oh they are so cute! Children can also put little letters with their concerns or problems in it and your little animal keep them as a friend. I love them!

I love being able to put in notes or treats! When my son was much younger I made him a doll that had a zippered tummy and in there I would put notes for him. He has anxiety so the notes were like a little life savers during school days or trips to camp. He still has that doll and all the notes :)
