How To Print The Pattern:
Use the free service found here.

Supplies:
Red Heart Comfort yarn in any color. Or use the same weight yarn you used to make your mouse with.
4.5mm hook
blunt end yarn needle for sewing
scissors

Abbreviations:

st = stitch
sc = single crochet
f/o = finish off

How to read the rows: Each row has a sequence as given below. Example: 1sc then 2sc in next st means repeat that sequence 1sc then 2sc in next st followed by 1sc then 2sc in next st over and over to the end of that particular row. The number inside the parentheses ( ~ ) is the number of stitches you should have at the end of that particular row.

please look in the supplies list above if you missed it, I used a bigger hook for the outfits than I used to make the mouse.

Dress:

1) ch19
2) starting in 2nd ch, 1sc in each (18) ch1 turn
3) skip ch, 1sc in next 3st, ch4 then sc into the 4th st from start of ch, 1sc in next 4st, ch4 then sc into 4th st from start of ch, then 1sc in next 3st (18) ch1 turn
4) skip ch, 1sc in each st (18) ch1 turn
5) skip ch, 1sc in next 5st then 2sc in next st (21) ch1 turn
6) skip ch, 1sc in next 6st then 2sc in next st (24) ch1 turn
7) skip ch, 1sc in first st, ch3 and sc into next st, repeat ch3 and sc into next st until you reach the last st of the row, put 1sc in the last st and f/o leaving a tail for sewing.
Sew the back edges of the dress together leaving a bit open near the top so the dress can be easily put on and off of the doll. Add a button and a loop to close the top.

Bow:
1) ch2
2) 4sc into 2nd ch from hook.
sl st into first st. pull starting yarn tail to close up the hole.
3) ch2
4) 4sc into 2nd ch from hook.
f/o leaving a long tail. Wrap the yarn tail around the middle, knot it off with the starting yarn tail.

Strap for Bow:
1) push your hook through any bit of yarn in the back of the bow, pull the finishing yarn tail through then ch10. f/o and sew the end to the beginning of the chain. Weave in yarn tails.

Purse:
1) ch6
2) starting in 2nd ch, 1sc in each ch (5) ch1 turn
3) skip ch, 1sc in each st (5) ch1 turn
4) skip ch, 1sc in each st (5) ch1 turn
5) skip ch, 1sc in each of the BLO (5) ch1 turn
6) skip ch, 1sc in each st, ch1 turn
7) skip ch, 1sc in each st
8) ch11 and sl st into the oppostite corner. f/o leaving a long tail for sewing
fold the purse and sew the edges closed. Weave in yarn tails

Overalls:

1) ch23
2) starting in 2nd ch, 1sc in each ch (22) ch1 turn
3) skip ch, 1sc in each st (22) ch1 turn
4) skip ch, 1sc in each st (22)
Hold ends together and connect them with a sc. *Add marker in this connecting st, move the marker into the last st you make every time you finish a row.

5) 1sc in each st for 1 row (22)
6) 1sc in next 3st then 2sc in next st. repeat sequence to the last 2st of the row, put 1sc in last 2st (27)
7) 1sc in each st for 1 row
now you will make the leg holes, do not break free.
1st Leg:*Add a marker into the last st you put in, (this marked st will count as the end of row 8). Skip the next 12st and put 1sc into the 13st. This gives you 14st, (includes the st you put a marker into), for one leg hole and 13st for the other but they work out looking even when all done.
8) Working to the left with the back of the overalls facing you, 1sc in each of the next 12 outer loops then 1sc in the inner loop that contains the marker. Mover marker.
9) 1sc in the next 13 outer loops then sl st both loops of the st that contains the marker and f/o. Weave in yarn tail.

2nd Leg hole:
Turn the overalls so that the back is facing you. Insert yarn into the very corner and ch1 *add a marker in this ch and skip this ch when you work the last row.
10-11) Working to the right, 1sc into each of the outer loops for 2 rows ~ sl st both loops of the last st of row 11 then f/o. Weave in yarn tails.

Bib:
1) ch7
2) starting in 2nd ch, 1sc in each ch (6) ch1 turn
3) skip ch, 1sc in each st (6) ch1 turn
4) skip ch, 1sc in each st (6) ch1 turn
5) skip ch, 1sc in each st (6)
f/o leaving a long tail for sewing.

Straps: you can crochet a chain right onto the overalls and connect in the back. I prefer to make them separately and sew them on. They feel more sturdy this way as the ends will overlap and you can add in a good number of holding stitches. Do what you feel is best for you.
1) ch12
2) starting in 2nd ch, 1sc in each ch (11)
f/o leaving a tail for sewing. Weave starting yarn tail into the strap. Use the finishing yarn tail to sew the straps to the overalls.

Assembly of Overalls:

1) sew the two open ends in the back of the overalls together. Sew only the top corners so that there's a hole left for the mouse's tail. Weave in yarn tail. See first photo below.
2) Sew one end of each of the straps to the bib. There is enough to overlap them quite a bit. The overlap should be on the inside of the bib, so the overlap is not seen when the doll wears them. Once done weave the yarn tail along the strap to the other end. Stretch out the strap then knot the yarn tail off at the end. Use this yarn tail to sew this other end in place. Weave the other yarn tail in to hide it.
3) Sew the bib to the front and center of the overalls. Weave in yarn tails.
4) Sew the straps to the back of the overalls. Again there will be quite a bit of overlap. If unsure how much you can overlap it, just place the overalls on the doll and see. Weave in yarn tails.

Now you're done. Dress your mouse!

  2. I adore your patterns! I think you may have a little mistake on row 3 of the dress. When you do the chain 4, don't you need to skip 4 to make the hole for the arm?
