How to read the rows:
Each row has a sequence as given below. Example: 1sc then 2sc in next st means repeat that sequence 1sc then 2sc in next st followed by 1sc then 2sc in next st over and over to the end of that particular row. The number inside the parentheses ( ~ ) is the number of stitches you should have at the end of that particular row.
Add in a marker at the end of row 2 and move that marker at the end of every row.

st = stitch
sc = single crochet
2tog = 2 stitches together
sl st = slip stitch
f/o = finish off

What I used to make the Bunny Rocket:
Body, Ears, Fins, Nose, Fire: worsted weight yarn medium #4
7.5 mm safety eyes
3.75mm hook
Pieces of Felt
yarn needle
hot glue

Placement of eyes and mouth: Even tho we use the jogless stripe method to change colors there will still be a bit of a jump, so make sure to install the eyes on the opposite side of the color change. I put one eye in between the 6th and 7th row and the other eye in between the 11th and 12th row. I installed the eyes once I completed the 13th row. It's easier to do this when the body isn't so long, refer to picture. I also put the mouth in then too. I used worsted weight black yarn and whip stitched the mouth in then knotted off the ends inside the head

BODY: starting with white
1) magic circle with 6sc (6)
2) 2sc in each st (12)
3) 1sc then 2sc in next st (18)
4) 1sc in next 2st, 2sc in next st (24)
5) 1sc in next 3st, 2sc in next st (30)
6-13) 1sc in each st for 8 rows switching colors on last st of row 13

Tip* We're using the Jogless Stripe method for changing color. Using this method will give you a cleaner color transition. Once you switch colors sl st the first st of the next row then continue on with you row as normal. Don't forget to knot of the color changes once you get a row or 2 done
continuing now with alternate color
14) sl st first st, 1sc in next 29st (30)
15-21) 1sc in each st for 7 rows
22) 1sc in next 3st then 2tog (24)
stuff doll, you can keep stuffing as you decrease the hole
23) 1sc in next 2st then 2tog (18)
24) 1sc then 2tog (12)
25) 1sc then 2tog (8)
f/0 then use the yarn needle and weave in and out of those last 8st, pull on yarn tail to close up the hole. Knot off then hide yarn tail inside body

EARS: with white make 2
1) magic circle with 4sc (4)
2) 2sc in each st (8)
3-8) 1sc in each st for 6 rows
sl st into next st and f/o leaving long tail for sewing. You do not stuff the ears. I sewed the ears in line with the eyes. The corner of the 1st ear is on row 6 and the corner of the 2nd ear that's closet to the wings is on row 12. Pin the ears in place and make sure you are happy with the placement before putting and stitches in. I found it easier to glue the felt in place after the ears were sewn in to avoid having to get your yarn needle through glue (this would be difficult)

ROCKET FINS: with blue make 6
1) ch 6
2) starting with the 2nd ch from the hook, 1sc in each ch (5)
3) ch1 and turn, 2tog then 1sc in next 3st (4)
4) ch1 and turn, 1sc in each st
5) ch1 and turn, 2tog then 1sc in next 2st (3)
6) ch1 and turn, 1sc in each st
7) ch1 and turn, 2tog then 1sc in next st (2)
8) ch1 and turn, 1sc in each st
9) ch1 and turn, 2tog
f/o leaving a long tail for sewing. Place 2 fins together. I found it easier to place them together as pictured with all the yarn tails together. Using one of the long yarn tails sew around all 3 edges. When you get to the last 2 edges to be sewn together, tuck the 2 shorter yarn tails inside to hide them. Continue on and sew closed. Knot off the remaining yarn tails then using your yarn needle bring one of the longer tails in between the 2 fins to hide it. Use the remaining yarn tail to sew fin to the rocket. Place the fin on the rocket and whip stitch the bottom edge of fin to the body of the rocket. Knot off when done and hide yarn tail in body.

The last 2 pictures show how I knotted off the 3 yarn tails once I was done sewing the fins to the body. I then knotted off those yarn tails and hid the knot inside the body.

ROCKET FIRE: with blue
1) magic circle with 6sc (6)
2) 2sc in each st (12)
3) 1sc then 2sc in next st (18)
sl st next st and f/o leaving a long tail for sewing

Now you need 3 strands of yarn. I used yellow, orange and red. With your yarn needle put your 3 strands in and double knot them.You will now have 6 strands of yarn on one side. Cut them up shorter and with your yarn needle shred the 6 pieces. That's it now you can sew the whole piece to the back end of your rocket.
