Miniature Thread Totoro Free Crochet Pattern

blue totoro made with embroidery thread

A tiny Totoro,  so tiny,  he fits on your thumbnail!
I made this tiny Totoro using my own free pattern. The only thing I did different was the ears which are a bit bigger. It was a little more difficult to sew the pieces together but that is to be expected on these tiny ones. I wrote the tiny ear pattern below. Get the Totoro pattern here

I used acrylic punch embroidery thread and a 0.75 mm steel hook for all pieces.

Ears:
1) magic circle with 6sc (6)
2) 1sc in each st
3) 1sc in next 2st then 2sc in next st (8)
4) 1sc in each st

I dabbed the eyes on with white craft paint using a toothpick and dotted in pupils with a black pen once the paint was dry.
The mouth I sewed on with regular black sewing thread.
