Special notes:
This pattern will give you a Hat and Scarf that will fit Mouse depending on your choice of yarn and hook size.

st = stitch
sc = single crochet
hdc = half double crochet
sl st = slip stitch
f/o = finish off

Supplies used:
3.7mm hook
any color of worsted weight medium #4
yarn needle
Specialty yarn to edge the hat. I used Bernat On The Fringe. I have a picture of it in the Mouse pattern

How to read the rows: Each row has a sequence as given below. For example 1sc then 2sc in next st means repeat that sequence 1sc then 2sc in next st followed by 1sc then 2sc in next st over and over to the end of that particular row. The number inside the parentheses ( ~ ) is the number of stitches you should have at the end of that particular row.

Mouse pattern here
Video Tutorial here and in order as follows:

SHORTER HAT:
1) magic circle with 6sc (6)
2) 1sc then 2sc in next st (9)
3) 1sc in next 2st then 2sc in next st (12)
4) 1sc in next 3st then 2sc in next st (15)
5) 1sc in each st
6) 1sc in next 4st then 2sc in next st (18)
7) 1sc in each st
8) 1sc in next 5st then 2sc in next st (21)
9) 1sc in each st
10) 1sc in next 6st then 2sc in next st (24)
11) 1sc in next 7st then 2sc in next st (27)
12) 1sc in each st
13) 1sc in next 8st then 2sc in next st (30)
14) 1sc in each st
15) ch 10 then sl st into the 10th st from marker then 1sc in next 20st (30)
16-17) 1sc in each st for 2 rows
f/o weave yarn tail in or sc around it with the edging yarn

To edge the hat, pull the specialty yarn through any one of the edge stitches on the hat, ch 1 and sc into each st around. f/o and weave yarn tail in.

POM POM:
wrap yarn around 2 fingers as pictured. Wrap about 35 times. Pull off fingers. Using a 12 inch length of yarn, tie off middle, knot and pull tight, leave the yarn tails long and use them to sew the pom pom to the hat.

Cut all the loops then give the pom pom a yarny hair cut all over and cut fairly short. Refer to video if this part gives you trouble.

LONGER HAT:
1) magic circle with 6sc (6)
2-3) 1sc in each st for 2 rows
4) 1sc then 2sc in next st (9)
5-6) 1sc in each st for 2 rows
7) 1sc in next 2st then 2sc in next st (12)
8-9) 1sc in each st for 2 rows
10) 1sc in next 5st then 2sc in next st (14)
11-12) 1sc in each st for 2 rows
13) 1sc in next 6st then 2sc in next st (16)
14-15) 1sc in each st for 2 rows
16) 1sc in next 7st then 2sc in next st (18)
17-18) 1sc in each st for 2 rows
19) 1sc in next 5st then 2sc in next st (21)
20-22) 1sc in each st for 3 rows
23) 1sc in next 6st then 2sc in next st (24)
24-26) 1sc in each st for 3 rows
27) 1sc in next 7st then 2sc in next st (27)
28-30) 1sc in each st for 3 rows
31) 1sc in next 8st then 2sc in next st (30)
32-33) 1sc in each st for 2 rows
34) ch 10 sl st into the 10th st from the hook then 1sc in next 20st (30)
35-36) 1sc in each st for 2 rows
f/o and edge the same way as smaller hat

SCARF: you can make the scarf shorter by eliminating a number of rows between row 3 and 42
1) ch 4
2) starting with 2nd chain from hook 1sc in each st (3)
3-42) ch 2 turn, starting with 3rd st from hook hdc in each st for 40 rows (3)
43) ch1 turn, 1sc in each (3)
f/o weave in yarn tail. Add in strands of yarn to both ends to make the fringe.

I hope you  enjoyed this pattern!

As you already know, I love mouses! >°O°<
They are perfect for Christmas, I hope to have some time to do mouses first!
    But definitively I'll do it!
I have a question, sorry if I post here, but since I'm new with 'Blogger', if I want to put this page in my 'favorite' or something, in the way in future can I find it easily, there's the possibility on Blogger to add this page in a sort of 'favorite' list in my blogger?

Thanks in advance if you can reply :)

    1. Hello! I'm glad you like the mice, I have a love for them too, lol

There used to be a join this site gadget on blogger but it seems to have disappeared, not sure why, for now you can follow by email and that gadget is near top of the page so you will get an email when I add a new post. And check back in a few days to see if the follow gadget has re-appeared :))

  7. I recently found you when I needed to learn how to do a magic circle. I see that you do start to finish videos and wonder if you would do one for a special project. I would like to participate in a project that I read about in Readers Digest. It is a project called "Knitted Knockers" (but you may crochet the knockers, too). Volunteers are asked to make these for women who have had mastectomies. I understand that they are so much more comfortable than the medical alternative and there is currently a waiting list for these items. I have downloaded the instructions from their website but I just don't understand what to do at Round 5! My 86 y/o mother and I would both like to crochet and donate, but we need instruction. Would you consider making a video to demonstrate start to finish? You may find more at www.knittedknockers.info if you'd like to understand more. Thank you so much for considering. I'm sure many would participate in this wonderful program if they only knew how! Blessings to you for considering! I look forward to your response. Linda

  10. Hi Sharon - since you never answered about doing the tutorial for the prostheses for mastectomy patients, I'll assume that you are not interested. Merry Christmas anyway.

    1. Hello Linda,
First of all I have to say since it's Christmas Eve a very Merry Christmas to you and yours and of course Happy Crocheting!!

Your first message was found in the spam box, unfortunately this happens from time to time. Comments left under anonymous and contain web links will be flagged so if you find other blog authors have not responded then it might be the message was flagged by blogger. I checked the spam box to see where your first comment went after receiving your last comment this morning. There are also rare times that comments get eaten by blogger and that remains a mystery as to why. I have set messages to be be moderated so I can catch them as they come in but nothing works 100% of the time.

For the request you have left with me.. I only do videos of my own patterns. I would imagine that the Knitter's Knockers website would have some sort of copyright on their patterns. You would have to ask for permission to have a video made using a pattern of theirs. Once you have permission you can let me know. I am not sure if I could make a video anytime soon as my time is spread very thin. Between work and my children I also have many projects and commitments waiting for me. But I know a few people that do video tutorials so if I couldn't do one then I would certainly do my best to find somebody who could.

Thank you for the message and keep me posted
